Guangzhou Laboratory is a newly established research institution that focuses on respiratory system diseases and serves as the primary research force in this field. It is situated in the picturesque surroundings of Guangzhou International Bio Island and Datansha Island. The laboratory is headed by Academician Zhong Nanshan, who leads a team of 17 academic experts specializing in related fields. Its main objective is to conduct basic and applied research, address scientific and technological challenges associated with major diseases, prevention, and control measures while creating an all-inclusive innovation platform and facility cluster. In the future, it aims to become a comprehensive research base for original innovations with global influence and leadership.
